Esther is a retiree whose career started as an icebreaker in a traditionally male profession (fixing office equipment) and ended as a ASQ certified quality engineer. Her 15 minutes of fame was a paper at a software testing conference on using statistically designed experiment structures to make coherent and complete if necessary software tesing test cases.

Her hobby that can encompass almost any other hobby is the Society for Creative Anachronism, and educational organisation that recreates the fun parts of the middle ages and renaissance.
